11.40am to 11.55am: Going green together: community action showcase
These quickfire talks will introduce you to some of the inspiring community-led environmental projects happening locally and how you can get involved. Featuring Leicestershire Morsbags, Transition Leicester’s new Greeniversity project and information from Communities Cutting Carbon on local community action sustainability.
14.00pm to 14.15pm: Bike Bell Orchestra
Can bicycle bells playing in unison make beautiful music together? Come along to find out – bring your bike bells with you! Exact location to be confirmed on the day.
14:30 to 14:55: Acknowledgements and Schools Recycling Challenge Awards Ceremony
A short talk from the Green Light team to introduce the festival and acknowledge everyone that has helped to make it happen. Followed by the presentation of the award for Groundwork’s School Recycling Challenge competition.
16:45 to 16:55: Gallery@ Green Light Award Ceremony
The presentation of the beautiful glass trophy prepared for the winner of the people’s choice vote for the Gallery@ Green Light festival Eco Art exhibition.
